The people of Jerusalem awaited Jesus with great expectation and excitement, but that soon faded when He didn’t do what they expected. Jesus was coming, not to save them from their circumstances, but to save them from the power of sin and death. But that’s not what they wanted. Sometimes in life we can’t see the greater picture that Jesus is working out, but we need to trust that He always has good plans for us.
