SCF Women
Purpose Statement
SCF Women aims to encourage friendship, discipleship, personal and corporate growth, and the development of hearts that are readily inclined to reach out to our surrounding community.
The SCF Women’s Ministry sponsors a variety of activities and events for the women of our church. A yearly retreat provides an opportunity for more in-depth time together and a deeper look at both the heart of God for each one of us, as well as the part we play in His broader purposes. Women in all stages of life are welcome to participate and new ideas for fellowship, study and outreach are always appreciated. We are creating an environment where every woman is uplifted, honored and valued, as we help one another create a gracious sense of belonging, that stretches beyond our own walls.

Matthew – A Precept Study – Resuming January 5, 2026 (Potluck and receive books)
Who is the promised Messiah, the King who will sit on the throne of David? What is His kingdom? What is the character and lifestyle of those who are a part of this kingdom? Matthew Part 1 answers these questions and brings you face-to-face with the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. Walk with Jesus through the towns and villages of the Galilee, see the miracles He performs—healing the sick, casting out demons, calming the seas. Listen to His teaching as He explains His kingdom. And then evaluate your life against the standard Jesus holds high and ask: Does my life show that I’m part of His kingdom?

Follow Me – A Bible Study on the book of Mark. (Ends December 17)
Have you ever wrestled with doubt or struggled with faith?
Follow Me is an in depth study on the gospel of Mark. The gospel of Mark is an invitation to follow Jesus. It invites us to step forward in faith, even in our weaknesses and doubts, and pursue the One who welcomes us into a relationship with Him. The book of Mark teaches us how following Christ is not a one-time action but a lifelong pursuit. Every day for the believer in Christ is a day to trust and obey the God who gave His life up for us.
This study is helpful to new believers and to those who are curious about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. But this study is also for those who are wrestling with doubt or struggling with their faith. The book of Mark provides answers for the curious, guidance for the new disciple, and comfort for the doubter.
Bring your bibles and come! No registration required.

Beloved Disciple – The Life of John. Ends December 4.
The video and workbook study is designed so you can choose how deep you want to go. Each week though you will be learning the heart of our savior Jesus through the teachings of the disciple John. “Every disciple and early follower of Christ left a legacy for future believers. John’s legacy was love. Perhaps like no other disciple, John understood that relationship is the point. Every command of Christ and call to obedience is to enhance relationships and place the recipient in a posture the Giver can bless. This study is about finding our way to the heart of Jesus and reclining so closely that our pulse begins to throb in tandem, loving what He loves and hating what He hates,” Beth Moore quoted.
The Longing In Me: How Everything You Crave Leads to the Heart of God by Sheila Walsh. (Begins January 8)
Do your longings have you going around in circles? You vowed to never repeat the same mistakes, yet here you are again, right where you started. What is it that keeps drawing you back? In this six-session video-based study, Sheila Walsh shows that it’s our longings that often lead us into such traps. She draws on her own experiences and the life of King David to reveal that all our longings are rooted in a need for God—and nothing else will satisfy when it comes to filling that longing.
