SCF Women

Purpose Statement

SCF Women aims to encourage friendship, discipleship, personal and corporate growth, and the development of hearts that are readily inclined to reach out to our surrounding community.

The SCF Women’s Ministry sponsors a variety of activities and events for the women of our church. A yearly retreat provides an opportunity for more in-depth time together and a deeper look at both the heart of God for each one of us, as well as the part we play in His broader purposes. Women in all stages of life are welcome to participate and new ideas for fellowship, study and outreach are always appreciated. We are creating an environment where every woman is uplifted, honored and valued, as we help one another create a gracious sense of belonging, that stretches beyond our own walls.

Lord I’m Torn Between Two Masters

Lord, I’m Torn Between Two Masters.  Kay Arthur wrote a second book on the Sermon on the Mount, which is a continuation of the book Lord, Only You Can Change Me.  Do you sometimes feel it is impossible to measure up to God’s standards? On a hillside overlooking the Sea of Galilee, Jesus opened the doorway to the kingdom of God. He challenged His followers to pursue a faith without compromise. Without anxiety. Without judgmentalism. He encouraged them to build a faith that bears fruit. A faith built on rock. A faith that would be true to the only Lord and Master.  I hope you will join us.

Bloom – The Well-Watered Woman: Rooted in Truth, Growing in Grace, Flourishing in Faith

In the busy chaos of our everyday, it can be difficult to live out and apply the truths of Scripture. We want more of Jesus, but we find ourselves looking to our own lives and accomplishments for our worth and identity. And while that may buoy us for a time, we’re often left feeling dried up, discouraged, and longing for more. Using Scripture and her own personal story of surrender, Gretchen offers spiritually hungry women tangible tools and encouragement to not only know Jesus more but to live a life that thoroughly enjoys Him, seeks Him, and follows Him into freedom.
