A Devotional Journey Through the Tabernacle
Use the structure of the Mosaic tabernacle as a daily rhythm of drawing near to God.
  1. The Outer Courts // Thanksgiving // Psalm 100
    • Praise! What am I thankful for today?
  2. The Brazen Altar // Embracing the Cross // Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:19–22
    • Rejoice that because of Jesus, there is nothing you could do that would make God love you any more, and nothing you have done that would make him love you any less.
  3. The Bronze Laver // Cleansing and Renewal // 1 John 1:9; Romans 12:1–2
    • Confess: Where have you sinned and need forgiveness?
    • Ask God to cleanse and renew your mind, heart, and body for his service.
  4. The Table of Showbread // Scripture Feeds Us // Matthew 4:4; John 6:35; Deuteronomy 32:47
    • Spend time in God’s Word. Let it feed and sustain you. Embrace his promises.
  5. The Golden Lampstand // God’s Glory and Presence // John 8:12; Psalm 16:11; Ephesians 1:18
    • Worship in the light of God’s presence through song or quiet adoration. Ask God for eyes to see him more clearly.
  6. The Altar of Incense // Prayers of Intercession // Psalm 141:2; Revelation 5:8
    • Intercede for others, letting your prayer rise like a pleasing aroma to God. Pray for your family, church, community, and the world. Don’t just pray to God; pray with him.
  7. The Holy of Holies // The Fullness of the Spirit // Hebrews 10:19–22; Ephesians 3:19, 5:18
    • Ask for the fullness of the Spirit and yield yourself to him completely. Abide. Listen. Be still and know that he is God.
    • Ask for new spiritual gifts, by which to serve God and others.
Let this pattern guide your time with God—not as a ritual, but as a relational rhythm to draw near to him daily.
