Stories - Finding the Missing Piece

Russell grew up going to church with his parents, but stopped attending as he grew older and Rebecca grew up not going to church at all. One day they decided they wanted to try to find a church so they and their kids could be more involved and meet more like minded people. “Something was missing. We wanted something else.”

After the first Sunday they attended SCF, they knew this was their church home. They felt welcomed and their kids loved the SCF Kids ministry. “Everyone just seemed inviting. It just seemed there was a big interest in who we were no matter if no one had seen us before.”

Since they started attending SCF and putting God first, the Thomas’ feel that in every aspect of their lives, things are better. They’ve plugged into a small group that feels like family, become better parents, and have grown tremendously in their prayer life. They believe that everything they’ve prayed for “has been answered, tenfold.”

We feel a community. We feel that piece that’s been missing is filled. What people are looking for, I feel they are going to find coming to church.
