Production Technology

Purpose Statement

SCF Worship Production exists to lead others in experiencing, expressing and exemplifying God’s love and grace.

Production technology volunteers contribute to sound, light, visual and video production of weekly worship services and other church events, both in-person and online.

 

PRODUCTION TEAMS

There are multiple opportunities for you to join us in ministering to others through the SCF Production Team.

PROJECTION OPERATOR

 

Responsibilities
  • Operate projection system during scheduled worship services
  • Participate in rehearsals and sound checks when scheduled
  • Develop and grow in technical abilities
  • Develop and grow in spiritual health
  • Recruit and help train others to serve in ministry
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills (able to operate a keyboard and mouse)
  • Excellent reading and auditory skills (words transition quickly during songs)
  • Able to be scheduled in advance
  • Children will need to be cared for by others during service (not in tech booth)
  • Significant others and friends will need to sit out in auditorium (not in tech booth)

SOUND TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

  • Operate audio system during scheduled worship services (or at scheduled ministry or events as appropriate)
  • Participate in rehearsals and sound checks as scheduled
  • Develop and grow in technical abilities
  • Develop and grow in spiritual health
  • Recruit and help train others to serve in ministry
Requirements
  • Excellent hearing
  • Able to be scheduled in advance
  • Children will need to be cared for by others during service (not at sound board)

CAMERA OPERATOR

Responsibilities

  • Operate camera during scheduled worship services, according to director’s instructions
  • Participate in rehearsals and sound checks as scheduled
  • Develop and grow in technical abilities
  • Develop and grow in spiritual health
  • Recruit and help train others to serve in ministry
Requirements
  • Excellent hearing (communication through headsets during services that may get loud)
  • Able to be scheduled in advance
  • Children will need to be cared for by others during service (not at camera position)

VIDEO TECHNICIAN/PRODUCER

Responsibilities

  • Operate video switcher during scheduled worship services
  • Communicate with camera operators about desired shots
  • Produce a visually appealing final product for our online service
  • Participate in rehearsals and sound checks as scheduled
  • Develop and grow in technical abilities
  • Develop and grow in spiritual health
  • Recruit and help train others to serve in ministry
Requirements
  • Excellent hearing (communication through headsets during services that may get loud)
  • On-your-feet quick decision making
  • Able to be scheduled in advance
  • Children will need to be cared for by others during service (not at camera position)

Interested in serving as a Video Technician/Producer?

PROJECTION AND LIGHTING PROGRAMMER 

Responsibilities
  • Program projection and lighting systems during the week in advance of worship services
  • Coordinate with Communication and Worship directors to ensure accuracy of production information
  • Identify and report any concerns or missing information
  • Develop and grow in technical abilities
  • Develop and grow in spiritual health
  • Recruit and help train others to serve in ministry
Requirements
  • Office-level computer skills (able to navigate and find files, type, move information between multiple programs)
  • Excellent reading and writing skills (good at accurate spelling and punctuation)
  • Able to be scheduled in advance
  • Availability on Thursday during the day to program (may be able to change timing as skills are learned)
