May 22, 2016. Meet at SCF @ 9:00 am
On Sunday, May 22nd Silver Creek Fellowship will close its doors. Yep … no preaching … no classes for kids … no offering will be taken. And God will be pleased.
Instead, families, small groups, and serving teams will go out to locations all over our city to roll up their sleeves and serve the community.
We’ve done this before and here is what we’ve learned: This will be the single most talked about event that Silver Creek Fellowship will do this year; it will be a day that nobody will ever forget. Why is that? It’s because we’re the most like Christ when we’re serving others. As a church, as a small group, as individuals, we have the greatest impact on others when we serve them. Furthermore, we experience the greatest spiritual growth when we serve others. This is an event that the whole family can participate in. We will have several projects for all ages and also a project in our building for those who can’t get out and do physical activity.
More about specific projects coming soon!
1. Assembling baskets for new mothers at the hospital (that will be done here at SCF for those who can’t get out to do more physical work.)
2. Cleaning the windows and walls at Robert Frost School
We will have several outside/landscaping projects. Our biggest project will be sprucing up the Robert Frost campus. Anyone is invited to come help. You can meet us at the church at 9 for worship/prayer, or come to Robert Frost and meet around 9:30 am. Come dressed to work and bring:
Wear your SCF T-Shirt!
We will meet back at SCF around 11:30 am and serve lunch!
